The ultra-thin nüvi 1300 has a widescreen display, yet it’s slim and light enough to take along on all your travels. It comes with preloaded Maps for the UK and Ireland, Lane Guidance for help at upcoming junctions and ecoRoute™ to calculate a more fuel-efficient route.

Twenty-five percent slimmer than other nüvis, the 1200 and 1300 series are ideal traveling companions. nüvi 1300 easily fits in your bag yet has the advantage of being widescreen, and its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot. Take advantage of the 1300’s new Pedestrian mode by downloading optional CityXplorer™ (coming soon) to navigate selected cities via trains, tube or buses.

Avoid last-minute panics and lane changes with Lane Guidance. It shows you the correct lane to be in for upcoming junctions, giving you supreme route awareness.

nüvi 1300’s built-in Cyclops safety camera database contains details on hundreds of fixed, mobile and temporary safety cameras. When you approach a camera, it sounds an alert and shows an overspeed warning and the speed limit to help you travel responsibly.

’Where Am I?’ gives you details about your position on demand which is useful eSpecially if a trip doesn’t go to plan or if you want to record a gps location quickly. Simply tap the car icon for your exact coordinates, nearest address, contact details for your appropriate vehicle recovery service and directions to nearby hospitals, police and petrol stations. It also speaks road and place names for simple, safe navigation.

nüvi 1300 comes preloaded with street Maps for the UK and Ireland and points of interest such as places to visit and restaurants. Its intuitive screen asks "Where To?" and "View Map." Just touch the colour screen to look up addresses and services with voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names. HotFix™ satellite prediction enables nüvi to calculate your position faster to get you there quicker.

The Garmin Lock™, anti-theft protection system uses GPS to lock the unit to a secure location of your choice.

The ecoRoute™ fuel-saver feature suggests fuel-efficient routes to save drivers fuel and could even save you money. See the cost of the journey as you plan your route and view suggestions for fuel-efficient navigation. ecoRoute™ even monitors fuel economy and rates your driving style.

nüvi 1300 has Pedestrian mode, with optional CityXplorer™ download. With information on public transport you can continue your journey from the car, to bus, and on foot.

Redefine sightseeing with photo navigation. Just choose and save location-tagged photographs from millions of Google Panoramio pictures in a wish-list of places to visit. Then, at your leisure, select a photo destination for turn-by-turn directions to the scene.

nüvi 1300 also includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more.

With the addition of a traffic accessory (optional), the nüvi 1300 model can track any jams, accidents and roadworks in real-time. Garmin uses data from a network of cameras placed every 2-4 miles along the motorways and major routes in England, Wales and Scotland for an accurate picture of the road situation. Not only does the nüvi tell you where the problems are and the estimated delay times, it also suggests alternative routes around the tailbacks. Simply choose to avoid the problems with Garmin guiding you all the way.

Personalise nüvi 1300 with your choice of background photograph and a new vehicle icon from the Garmin Garage. Garmin also accepts custom points of interest such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs.
